The results show that there are some conflicts inherent among nursery teachers between how they think they should assist the children and how they actually respond to each eating-related issue. The teachers tend to select the most reasonable choice in each situation, and yet, in doing so, they feel that they have compromised. The background of the multilayered problems is not simple, and it is necessary to understand the composition of various situations that occur in and around nurseries. Although this research is limited, it reveals the characteristics of nursery school teachers’ ways of thinking about problems at nurseries. Our future task is, thinking closely about the feelings of nursery school children and their guardians, to research the problem of boundaries between childcare providers and guardians, and the boundaries between staff engaged in different occupations.
