 note = {The growing interest in time-use data has led to rapid increases in the number of countries that have undertaken time-use survey and created a demand for the institutionalization of time-use on the global level. The United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific encourages statisticians and national statistical offices to undertake time-use surveys and collect information in the Asian and Pacific region. lt also has been making an effort at developing a technical guide on data collection methods and a classification of time-use statistics that can be adapted to both developing and industrial countries.
