Group interviews were held with three groups of current and former home-helpers. The verbatim records were then analyzed using the modified grounded theory approach （M-GTA）. Based on the results of the analysis, we created 24 concepts relating to home-helpers’ intentional actions and thinking as they provided housework assistance services, and classified these into 4 categories and 7 subcategories based on the associations between them.
