| 内容記述 | This paper is an interim report on documents related to the “Japan Confederation of A- and H-Bomb Sufferers Organizations” (Nihon Hidankyo), archived by the authorized nonprofit organization, “No More Hibakusha Project-Inheriting Memories of the A- and H-Bomb Sufferers.” Established in 2011, this NPO has collected over 6000 historical materials related to the confederation and are currently sorting and analyzing them. The materials include records of several meetings, newsletters, and pamphlets issued by the confederation, and also contains personal letters, notes, and testimonies by many sufferers. The author of this paper has focused mainly on reading several newsletters issued by the confederation, and tracing changes in the organization of the NPO. Nihon Hidankyo was established in 1956, but in the middle of the 1960s it struggled and suspended activity for a while. Members’ opinions were divided over the movements against the A- and H-bombs. Few documents made before the suspension have survived but a rich collection of newsletters after the resumption of activity is preserved. By analyzing the changes evident in these newsletters, the author has come to believe that the clerical procedures related to handling Nihon Hidankyo was reformed and that doing so broadened the appeal of the organization to a wider range of participants in the late 1960s. |
